Bedlam 2013 wasn’t lacking in excitement for the full house that turned up in Gallagher-Iba this afternoon: both teams fought tooth-and-nail into overtime before the Cowboys pulled out their 84-79 win over the Sooners.

The OSU women’s basketball team was the only hope for OSU sports today.

The Cowgirls took down Texas Southern 91-49 in Gallagher-Iba Arena this afternoon. The Cowgirls have now gone undefeated in a 12-game streak, dating back to last season’s WNIT title; it’s currently the longest women’s basketball winning streak in the nation.

Liz Donohoe and Lindsey Keller were the Cowgirls’ leading scorers with 18 points apiece, followed by Toni Young, who put up 16.

OSU Student Activities Board’s ‘Dragonfly’ is Oklahoma’s largest drag show. The event happens every spring, and the theme for 2012’s show was ‘Glamazons of the Amazon.’

Dragonfly was hosted by professional drag queen Jak’kay Monroe. The show featured an amateur competition made up of members of OSU student organizations, as well as professional drag queens Carmen Deveraux, Cordilla Monroe, Vanity Halston, Jexa van de Kamp and professional drag king Damian Matrix. This year’s special guest was Raja (pictured above), winner of season 3 of LOGO’s RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Proceeds from this year’s event went to The Equality Network.

Check out the rest of my photos after the jump.

Some minor homecoming awards are also announced during the event, so Greek houses and other student organizations turn out in droves to attend.

(for those not in the know, The Walk is a tradition at OSU where the football players, who stay the night in the on-campus Atherton hotel the night before home games, walk through campus from the Atherton to the stadium before the game while fans cheer them on.)
